We are closely monitoring the evolving developments of COVID-19 and looking to follow advice given by health care professionals and King County officials. Our thoughts are with the individuals and families impacted at this time. Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, family members, clients, and community.
We are making adjustments to our service delivery to ensure the health of our community and for the practical consideration that our clients and volunteers may not be able to come, or feel comfortable coming, to our events as they would under normal circumstances.
For the month of March 2020, we are making the following changes to our programs.
Nonprofit and Microenterprise Legal, Fundraising, or Grant Writing Clinics
We will be conducting all of our clinic appointments by phone. If you are scheduled for any of the following clinics, our staff will contact you regarding next steps.
- March 9, 2020 – Fundraising Clinic
- March 10, 2020 – Microenterprise Legal Clinic
- March 17, 2020 – Nonprofit Legal Clinic
If you are scheduled for one of these clinics and have not heard from our staff before the date of the clinic, please contact us via our contact form.
Upcoming Trainings
March 26, 2020 – Understanding the 501(c)(3) Application Process Training and Legal Clinic
This training will be presented as a webinar. Our staff will be in touch with registered attendees to provide additional information. The Legal Clinic appointments will be conducted by phone. If you have questions about the March 26, 2020 training or clinic please contact sarah@communities-rise.org.
VOICES 2020 – Communities Rise Celebration & Fundraiser
We have decided to postpone VOICES, our fundraiser previously scheduled for March 19, until it is determined that we can safely gather together. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and be in touch with updates as we are able. If you purchased tickets for this event, we will provide additional information about how to proceed. Please be assured that all purchased tickets will be valid for the rescheduled event. If you have any questions, contact aimie@communities-rise.org.
