The Ethics of Serving Nonprofits – SPOKANE

$60 – $120This seminar will examine the roles and responsibilities of attorneys as both board members and legal counsel of nonprofit organizations. We will explain how to effectively and ethically wear both your board member and your attorney hats, as well as the basics of nonprofit law that every attorney working with nonprofit organizations should know. We will answer the following questions and more. We will cover Washington State law requirements ncluding fiduciary duties of board members, and legal ethics rules on conflicts of interest. We explore the ethics of serving on a nonprofit board as an attorney.

• What ethical traps should you avoid as a nonprofit board member or advisor?
