October 14, 2014 | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

$75 – $110

If you are thinking about starting a nonprofit and considering obtaining tax-exemption status under 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code or have just become involved with a nonprofit, this seminar is for you.  We will cover all the state and federal legal requirements for starting a Washington tax-exempt nonprofit corporation and the basic ongoing compliance requirements for tax-exempt nonprofits.

Topics will include: fiduciary duties of directors and officers, Charitable Solicitation Act, governance policies, Form 1023 tax-exempt application and Form 990 reporting. This training is ideal for attorneys (2.75 CLE Credits) and non-attorneys who work with nonprofit organizations or want to work with nonprofits. The Training is highly recommended for attorneys who want to volunteer for Wayfind.

2.75 CLE credit approval pending.

Online registration will be available soon.
