This seminar is will cover the best practices in forming a nonprofit. We will cover Washington State law requirements for forming and maintaining a nonprofit corporation, including fiduciary duties of board members, yearly filings, explanation of organizing documents (bylaws and articles of incorporation). We will also cover the IRS Form 1023 application for 501c3 tax-exempt status highlighting IRS requirements to obtain 501c3 tax-exempt status. This is critical course for any community group who is thinking about creating a nonprofit.
