So You Want to Be a Nonprofit?

Join us for a nonprofit training that will provide you an overview of what to consider before starting a nonprofit organization.
This training will cover the topics that community members and organizers should consider before they make the decision to create a nonprofit organization.
Topics include:
- Basic structure of a nonprofit
- Fiduciary duties of board members
- Community nature of nonprofits
- Time and commitment it takes to create a sustainable and viable nonprofit
- Skills needed for a nonprofit organization to be successful
We’ll also take a look into how to define your nonprofit’s mission and the types of funding options available for nonprofits.
Our presenters will include Jodi Nishioka from Wayfind and Sarah Tran from Nonprofit Assistance Center.
