Nuts & Bolts of Nonprofit Law, Part 1 -S. King County Only

February 24, 2015 | 11:30 am – 3:00 pm

This seminar is our signature workshop on forming a nonprofit.  We cover Washington State law requirements for forming and maintaining a nonprofit corporation, including fiduciary duties of board members, yearly filings, explanation of organizing documents (bylaws and articles of incorporation).  We will also go through the IRS Form 1023 and 1023EZ application for 501c3 tax-exempt status step-by-step, explaining every IRS requirement to obtain 501c3 tax-exempt status.  This is a critical course for any community group who is thinking about creating a nonprofit.

Speakers include: Judy Andrews, Apex Law Group and Lorri Dunsmore, Perkins Coie

Lunch will be served at 11:30 am. The program will start at 12:00 noon
