This Nonprofit Assistance Center and Wayfind Nonprofit Budgeting and Finances workshop is designed for anyone working in a nonprofit environment, or intending to form a nonprofit, and would like to familiarize themselves with the budgeting process and basic nonprofit financial concepts.
In this 2-hour workshop, we will highlight the importance of developing and managing a budget and certain best practices for ensuring your nonprofit remains financially healthy for your community.
Topics will include:
- An overview of the budgeting process,
- The type of budgets you may encounter,
- How to develop a program budget,
- How to properly use and manage restricted funds,
- Understanding and implementing basic financial controls,
- Avoiding conflicts of interest in business transactions, and
- Much more!
