WORKSHOP
As part of our Day of Caring Legal Clinics, we will also be offering trainings designed for small businesses to learn about the common legal issues that small businesses face. This training series has been developed exclusively for Microenterprise Legal Clinic clients and is free of charge. It is a great opportunity to get information about running your business from experienced lawyers, who have prepared presentations and materials with you in mind and are available to answer questions in person at the training.
At our upcoming September 6, 2018 Day of Caring Clinic, we will be offering a training called What Type of Legal Entity Should I Create to Start My Business? This training will focus on examining the different types of business entities (limited liability corporations, partnerships, S –Corps, C- Corps, etc) and why one entity is better for your business then another. We will look at how the different types of business entities affect the taxes your businesss will pay and the liability you are exposed to.
We will answer the following questions at the training:
• Which type of entity will save me the most taxes?
• Can someone sue me for my personal assets, like my home?
• Which type of entity is better if I have investors or partners?
