April Wellness Workshop – Co-Creation and Collective Mindfulness with Reals
April 22, 2021 | 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
This workshop is a part of a monthly Community Wellness series co-hosted by RVC and Communities Rise. April’s workshop is focused on breathwork and creativity as wellness. To paraphrase Thich Nhat Hanh: when we breathe together, we breathe easier. Join us for a collective healing exercise that will include breathwork, automatic writing and the co-creation of a written piece. No skill necessary; just bring a body to rest. The intended audience for this workshop are folks who self-identify as Black, Indigenous or People of Color.
Registration: Please register here, so our presenter has an idea of the size of the group.
More about our facilitator:
Reals (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist and tarot reader from Tacoma, WA. A student of Afrofuturism and African traditional religions, Reals uses their art and community role to merge the ancient with the futuristic, and the natural with the supernatural. Their preferred mediums include visual art, divination, music making, and poetry.
Thank you to our sponsors from Washington Non-Profits and the Medina Foundation for supporting these Community Wellness Series.
