Our flagship cohort offers a tested, intensive 9-month capacity building experience with the one-on-one support of an experienced coach and a network of peers.
This process includes: a capacity assessment, development of a “work plan”, monthly on-site coaching, 5 free workshops on topics selected by the cohort, and a vital community of peers where you can confidentially share challenges, solutions, and ways to build strength together. This year, for the first time, organizations that participate will receive also a stipend of $5,000 to help cover the cost of staff time devoted to capacity building.
At NAC we believe that we will truly transform communities when we invest in leaders of color. If you work for a grassroots or emerging organization based in Seattle, that is deeply rooted in and led by communities of color, indigenous, working class, queer and trans, immigrant or refugee communities, we hope you will consider attending an information session, or reaching out to our program staff Nourah and Morgan to discuss your interest.
Eligibility criteria include: a budget less than $500,000, at least 80% of your clients are Seattle residents, and at least 50% of your board and leadership reflect the community your organization serves.
