Nonprofit Governance Policies – Legal Clinic

What is “good governance” for nonprofits? While there is no cookie cutter approach to good governance, there are certain governance policies that are recognized as good practice. Wayfind’s Nonprofit Governance Policy Clinic is designed for nonprofits to understand the purpose of recommended nonprofit governance policies and to consult with an attorney (for free!) to draft a policy that is right for your organization.

Is your organization in need of one or more of the govenance policies listed below?
Do you have an old Conflict of Interest policy or other policy that you want to update?
Come to the clinic and you can leave with one or more of these policies ready for your board to approve.

The Nonprofit Governance Policy Clinic will offer free one-hour consultations to nonprofits on the following nonprofit governance policies:

• Conflicts of interest policy

• Whistleblower policy

• Document retention policy

• Nondiscrimination policy
